We must learn to appreciate our very being, realizing we inhabit a highly intelligent body that has needs and abilities. If we can appreciate our very breath, realizing that without it we would cease to exist here on this earth nor enjoy the things we take for granted like family and friends, enjoying our favorite things and activities, our relationships, etc. How does one begin to accept themselves unconditionally? I believe it begins with an appreciation for the value of life itself. Most ending in frustration because, until they believe that they are a valuable part of the global body of human beings, and as such have a significant part in the health and sustenance of the universe, they will not know or understand their immense value. Many are seeking significance in churches, relationships, jobs, entrepreneurial endeavors, money, fame, power, etc. So we exist in a society where most people are seeking a need which they have little to no understanding of, not only what they really need, but what it looks like or how to get it. Consequently, most people likely will not know how to give that unconditional acceptance to their children. However, due to the egotistical condition of humanity, and most not receiving that unconditional acceptance as a child, the need is largely unmet. As this is how we learn to accept ourselves.

Let me explain what I mean by that Every human being has an innate need to be unconditionally accepted, first by their biological parents. The reason we are not finding what we are seeking is, that the love we need can only come from our Self. We are all looking for love, and seeking peace and happiness in a love from someone else.
